Legal matters related to the stay of foreigners in Poland
If you intend to stay in Poland longer than three months must obtain a residence permit or temporary residence permit. This requirement does not apply to persons engaged in employment, profession or doing business in Poland, which retained a place of permanent residence in another EU Member State, to which they return at least once a week. As a result of the procedure for granting a residence permit or temporary residence permit , a person with citizenship EU member country is replaced by an EU citizen’s residence card, and not a family member who is a citizen of the Union – a residence document. Please note that in Poland, Polish law does not apply only to those who have Polish citizenship, but also others.
For issuing these documents is a charge 30 zł. Decisions on matters of licensing, as well as the EU citizen’s residence card and residence documents (also in matters of renewal and revocation) issued by the voivod competent with respect to intended place of residence of a Union citizen in Poland. Appeals is the President of the Office for Repatriation and Aliens.
An EU citizen or family member may be expelled from Polish territory only because of the need to protect order and public safety and because of the threat to state security and defense. The decision to expel a result of right withdraw the residence permit or temporary residence permit.
